About Me – Ruth Bruchel

About Me

I am a sommelier, educator, program developer and creator of the Roots & Faces global learning app

roach.
For over twelve years I have been teaching young people the worlds of the vineyard and the olive
orchard — connecting land, culture and human experience into one meaningful journey.

My Life in Two Worlds

My work moves between two spaces that shaped me: the vineyard and the kitchen.
The vineyard taught me patience, observation and the power of roots.
The kitchen taught me healing, creativity and nourishment —
of body and of soul.

I spent eight years abroad as part of my family’s diplomatic journey: four years in Brussels and four years in Rome, where I deepened my knowledge of wine, culture, community and Mediterranean traditions. These years shaped the way I teach today: learning through taste, experience and shared human stories.

What I Bring to the World

Educational expertise in wine and olive cultivation
Hands-on learning that connects science, land and heritage
Healthy, seasonal and intuitive cooking inspired by my home garden
Holistic guidance and personal healing practices
Program development for schools, youth villages and international institutions
Creative workshops that blend land, culture, story and taste

A Life Rooted in Renewal

I grow herbs, roses and young vines in my balcony garden, where learning and healing continue every day.
I lead workshops, tastings, culinary journeys, olive harvests and creative programs across Israel and the Mediterranean.
My mission is simple: to connect people to land, taste, culture and themselves
.
